Chocolate Chip Cookies

I LOVE this recipe,
but they never turn out the same as when my grandma used to make them.
{I miss her}

This recipe makes a huge batch- you can save 1/2 the dough and keep it in the fridge or freezer to use later.

Chocolate Chip Cookies   PRINTABLE

2 Cups Brown Sugar
1 Cup Sugar
5 Cups Flour
4 Cups Oats (old fashioned kind, not instant)
4 Eggs
1 Cup Butter- softened
1 Cup Shortening
2 tea spoons vanilla
1/2 tea spoon salt
2 tea spoons baking soda
2 tea spoons baking powder
Bag of Chocolate Chips (and or M & M's)
nuts optional

Mix all together and drop by spoonfuls on greased cookie sheet about 2" apart.
Bake at 365* for about 8 minutes
